The Ultimate Farewell song

All my friends are helplessly watching the last few days at the college pass by, some wishing they could slow down the time a li'l bit. Its a mixed feeling, excitement about the new life & a sense of  loss for the student days.

Everyone has something really emotional to say about it (e.g. shantu), so how can i let myself fall behind, especially since i havn't got anything to write for the past 6 months (apart from random tweets, of course). Considering my limited vocabulary, i think this feeling can be better described by a song.

           So, when i think about a farewell song, the only appropriate one that i immediately recall is this old 70's one by a band called The Kinks, titled THIS TIME TOMORROW.

What is likable about the song is that it conveys a universal feeling for farewell, in whatsoever context you are having it.
Whether you are travelling, or starting a new journey in life, the essence is captured perfectly:  We wonder what's gonna happen after now?

Goes like this.....

     "This time tomorrow, where will we be,

On a spaceship somewhere sailing across an empty sea,
This time tomorrow, what will we know,
Will we still be here, watching an in-flight movie show,
I'll leave the sun behind me, and i watch the clouds as they sadly pass me by,
Seven miles below me, I can see the world and it ain't so big at all;

       This time tomorrow what will we see,
Fields full of houses, endless rows of crowded streets,
I don't know where I'm going, I don't want to see,
I feel the world below me, looking up at me;

         Leave the sun behind me, and i watch the clouds as they sadly pass me by,
In perpetual motion, and the world below doesn't matter much to me,
This time tomorrow, where will we be,
On a spaceship somewhere sailing across any empty sea;

         This time tomorrow,where will we be
         this time tomorrow, what will we see
         this time tomorrow......."

P.S.     for those of you who may want a Hindi or Indian one, only one song comes to my mind right now:

                Kya Karoon (Wake Up Sid)

Think on the contrary? Comments are welcome!
